ilmi Science Discovery & Innovation Center and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University Launch Specialized Programs in Museum Studies

Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: April 18, 2024

ilmi Science Discovery & Innovation Center, in collaboration with Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, launched a series of specialized academic programs in Museum Studies, aimed at empowering specialized talent in the museum sector.

The Museum Studies offering includes three academic programs: the Diploma Program in Museum Studies, elective minor programs for Princess Nourah University students, and specialized in-person and virtual training courses in the field of museums.

ilmi Center and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University invite those interested in Museum Studies to register for and benefit from the training courses set to begin next Monday. Registration will be open to participants aged 18 and above for a range of programs, including Museum Fundamentals, Museum Education and Awareness, Museum Impact Studies, Introduction to Museum Technologies, and Integrating Technology in Museums.

The Diploma Program in Museum Studies is scheduled to launch during the upcoming academic year 1446 AH and will run for two years for high school graduates. A selection of supporting and elective minor programs in Museum Studies will also be made available to students of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.

Graduates will have the opportunity to work alongside ilmi Center experts in designing and launching new, unique educational programs across STREAM fields, which include science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and mathematics. This will support the further development of their skills within a practical and applied learning environment.

These programs come as part of activating the strategic partnership between ilmi Science Discovery & Innovation Center and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, and in line with ilmi’s mission to empower the innovators of the future through inspiring learning experiences that make science discovery enjoyable and accessible to all.

The Museum Studies programs are among the Center’s initiatives aimed at empowering and inspiring the next generation of thinkers and innovators in the Kingdom. The programs are supervised by local and international experts from ilmi Center and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, who contribute to advancing knowledge by engaging youth and enabling them to help shape the future of museums in the Kingdom.
