ilmi Center Participates in Panel Discussion on Women’s Role in Science Marking the International Day of Women and Girls in Science

ilmi Science Discovery & Innovation Center, one of the entities affiliated with the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk,” participated in a panel discussion held in celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, as part of an inspiring dialogue platform that brought together a number of entities, experts, and stakeholders committed to empowering women in scientific and innovation-driven fields.

The Center’s participation underscored the importance of integrated efforts among national entities to support women’s presence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and to enable them to build professional and knowledge-based pathways that contribute to a more inclusive and innovative future.

The session discussed the role of women in advancing the science and innovation ecosystem, as well as the importance of providing stimulating educational and professional environments that offer girls and women broader opportunities for exploration, learning, and active participation in promising scientific sectors.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of empowering girls from an early age to build a positive relationship with science through inspiring educational experiences, leading female role models, and programs that strengthen confidence, curiosity, and the ability to innovate.

ilmi Center’s programs are built on the STREAM methodology, which integrates science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and mathematics, with the aim of stimulating scientific curiosity, enhancing creativity, and connecting knowledge with experimentation and practical application.
