ilmi Science Discovery & Innovation Center, one of the entities affiliated with the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk,” signed a Memorandum of Understanding with King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba,” as part of its participation in the eighth edition of Misk Global Forum 2024, held under the theme “By Youth, For Youth.”
The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation between the two entities in promoting scientific awareness and knowledge, and in supporting initiatives that contribute to discovering national talents and developing their capabilities through educational and interactive programs and experiences that inspire younger generations and open wider horizons for them in the fields of science and innovation.
This partnership reflects ilmi Center’s commitment to building an engaging educational ecosystem that nurtures scientific curiosity among children and youth, and provides them with quality opportunities for learning and discovery. It also aligns with Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives to develop human capabilities, empower national talents, and build a globally competitive knowledge-based society.
Areas of cooperation include organizing joint events that encourage the community to embrace a culture of science, in addition to hosting workshops and inspiring educational experiences for targeted groups. These efforts aim to enhance critical and creative thinking skills, while providing participants with space to experiment and engage with scientific concepts through non-traditional approaches.
The MoU also seeks to highlight Saudi talents by involving them in scientific events and knowledge-based programs that showcase their capabilities and support their presence in scientific and innovation fields, reflecting the Kingdom’s promising potential to contribute to shaping the future.
The partnership further includes cooperation in non-traditional learning areas related to science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, opening the way for the development of educational experiences that combine scientific knowledge with practical application and help children and youth understand science through exploration and creativity.
